Ways to study
There isn't just one way to study with us. We offer different paths. So you can find something that is right for your situation, including your academic knowledge, professional skills and personal circumstances.
Start with a foundation year
If you feel you’re not quite ready for degree-level study, or don’t have the right qualifications, our foundation year courses could be the answer.
You’ll study with us for an extra year before starting your degree to build your confidence and gain the skills you need for undergraduate study.
"The teachers really want you to do well in your foundation year. With their support and the one-to-ones I did really well - I got a first so I was really happy and they were all proud of me."
Ana Oliveira, Biomedical Science
Part-time study
Part-time study is a great way to complete an undergraduate or postgraduate degree while still working or keeping other commitments.
You can study at your own pace and divide the cost up into smaller chunks.
“Part-time study at 探花社区 has allowed me to pursue my passion with a master’s while continuing to work.”
Ant Babajee, MSc Applied Public Health
Distance learning
Our distance learning courses allow to study for a master's in your own time, at home or from wherever you choose.
They are delivered through online resources with plenty of opportunities for you to interact, question, share and participate with others on your course.
Sandwich courses with a placement
A four-year sandwich course combines an undergraduate degree with a year-long placement in a professional setting.
Make valuable professional contacts as well as using what you've learnt on your course, and you won’t pay any fees during your placement year.
Degree apprenticeships to earn and learn
Get a head-start on your career. As a degree apprenticeship student, you'll have the opportunity to gain work experience that’s relevant to your career while you study for a degree.
You’ll also be earning a full-time wage and your student fees will be paid by your employer and the government.
Professional practice qualifications
Enhance your current career with a professional qualification. Our work-based learning degrees are tailored to your needs as a professional, ensuring you develop the expertise you need to stay ahead of the field.
Professional practice and work-based learning
“Good contact with my academic advisor made my learning experience a very rewarding one. I gained a first class BSc with honours in twenty months from start to finish.”
